Quantum Mutual Fund: Simplifying investing, one innovative policy at a time

Posted On Wednesday, Dec 13, 2017

Recently a very interesting piece of news surfaced on the internet. Google “rectified” their burger emoji when someone on Twitter compared the Google Burger emoji with that of Apple’s and brought to notice that the cheese slice was placed wrongly (at the bottom of the patty). The tweet went viral and also grabbed attention of Google’s CEO, who then promised to drop everything else they were doing and work on this the coming Monday. And so eventually the cheese did come on top. A promise kept.

How trivial as it may sound, what’s awesome about this piece of news is that a giant like Google and its 44-year-old tech tycoon didn’t dismiss a feedback like this.

At Quantum we believe in today’s acquisitive world it is more important to never put our desire to grow AUM (Assets under Management) ahead of our investor's wish to be given honest and sincere advice. We have built a world class, customer-focused company to diligently look after our investors' hard-earned savings. That doesn’t change. We will always continue in our mission to be transparent, true to label and aim to deliver sensible, risk-adjusted, long-term returns, which we have practiced since the inception of the fund. We will continue being innovative and continue creating new policies and procedures that simplify the investment process (check out the all new invest online portal) and allow our investors to transact with us with even greater ease and transparency. We will also come up with products as per our philosophy, products that genuinely fulfil a gap in the investor’s portfolio.

For us, it is the small stuff like the placement of the cheese in a burger emoji, that counts. While we come up with new systems and innovations that will make the life of the investors simpler – be it the completely paperless online investing process or being one of the first fund houses to roll out the E-KYC module, completely online and paperless again, our focus will always be on making changes to our processes to benefit you – the end investor and always do what is right – including placing the cheese above the patty and not below! ☺

It is imperative for us to remain true to our philosophy and stick to our tried and tested Research and Investment process. At Quantum, we believe our role is to be asset managers and not asset gatherers, as an AMC it’s is more important to take care of our investor’s money prudently, offer investors user friendly investment platforms and maintain transparency in our processes, no matter the amount of money they have invested with us – an investor investing Rs. 1,000 is treated in the same way as an investor who has invested a Crore with us. Small amount so less service? – Never with Quantum.

It gives us great pleasure when we look back at the past 10+ years we have spent in the mutual fund industry by embarking the ethical route. Our flagship fund may not be the top performing equity fund right now (we are waiting for fair valuations, patiently!), we might not be a large player like Google, we might not have the highest AUM but we have certainly learnt how to take care of our investors and their hard earned money.

Three things that distinguish Quantum Mutual Fund is that we are:

1.A fund house that aims to be most respected and not just the biggest mutual fund

2. A fund house that offers simple products – only 9 – that cater to all asset classes.

3. A fund house that is focussed on doing one thing only – what is right for the investor

Therefore at Quantum Mutual Fund dear investor, it doesn’t matter if its emoji or an equity fund to deliver, what a customer wants is and will always be our priority every single day!
