Vice President/ Senior Vice President - Channel Sales

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our organization as the VP/Sr. VP of the Mutual Funds Distribution Channel. This strategic role entails overseeing the development, implementation, and management of our mutual fund’s distribution strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mutual funds industry, possess excellent leadership skills, and have a proven track record of successfully driving sales and growth within this sector.
Strategy Development and Execution:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy for our mutual funds to drive sales growth and increase market share.

3. Collaborate with the executive team to define business objectives, set performance targets, and align the distribution strategy with overall organizational goals.

He will be tasked with implementing sales strategies that further the department’s agenda and drives enhanced revenue generation for the business. The VP/Sr. VP shall deliver an optimized market mix relative to the core target consumers and identifies the roadmap that will lead to achievement of the department’s goals as well as the overall goals of the business. The VP/Sr. VP, along with the senior sales management, should create and implement sales action plans that incorporate key actions that work to set KPI’s for the business.
Channel Management and Relationship Building:
1. Manage relationships with key distribution partners, including banks, financial advisors, brokers, and other intermediaries, to maximize sales and market penetration.
2. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for product positioning and channel development.
3. Provide guidance and support to the sales team to ensure effective channel management, compliance with regulatory requirements, and achievement of sales targets.
Product Development and Marketing:
1. Work closely with the product development team to identify market demands, develop new mutual fund products, and enhance existing offerings to meet customer needs and preferences.
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to promote mutual fund products and increase brand awareness.
3. Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify customer segments, assess market potential, and recommend product and marketing strategies accordingly.
Team Leadership and Development:
1. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of distribution professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring as required.
2. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback to ensure the team's success and individual growth.
3. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the distribution team and across the organization.

• Additional responsibility as Business Analyst (only functional) of the PMS Systems & Technology suite (comprising of Wealth Spectrum Software, Excel based process templates & macros, Custody Interfaces, etc.).
• Oversee the WS system set-up, configuration and data integrity
• Ensure 100% latency of Wealth Spectrum System, to achieve accurate and timely order processing of investment transactions (in OMS), settlement of trades, portfolio updates and reporting.
• Responsible for ensuring WS system is generating various reports (group, client and regulatory)
• Maintain system hygiene, perform system checks, review logs for verifying maintenance of various system parameters
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve PMS operations workflows, automation and data integration to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
• Understand the business requirements of the process and develop solutions by working with internal IT team / RPA team / software service providers.
• Lead the UAT testing and Systems implementation of version upgrade as well as system troubleshooting during BAU.
• Lead the efforts of developing in-house reporting utility by working closely with RPA team and IT projects team.
• Ownership of the system audit by external IS consultant – by providing evidence from WS system like logs, reports.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and completeness of data within the PMS operations and implement controls to maintain data quality standards in system and excel.
• Ensure procedures for data validation, reconciliation and exception resolution.
• Assist Ops team in designing & creating Excel templates, for daily processes, reconciliations and MIS.
• Solutions delivery in partnership with PMS software vendors / RPA team / internal IT team, ensuring effective service delivery and contract adherence.
The candidate must have prior experience of operating the Wealth Spectrum Software as well as understanding the logical flow of data and their effects within the system.
This position offers an opportunity to the candidate to develop into a senior role involving and managing operations for foreign portfolio Investors (SWF, Pension Fund, Offshore Fund, HNIs etc.)
Expected Technical Skills:
Software Application: Wealth Spectrum, Bloomberg, Refenitiv LSEG (Reuters) etc.
Microsoft Office : MS Excel (Advanced Excel necessary, VBA Macro desirable), MS – Power Point, Visio.

Educational Qualification:
MBA with 7-9 years of experience or B. Com with 9-11 years of relevant experience.Functional & Ops Experience (Business Analyst role) in the domestic capital market industry is a must.
