When will we see quality midcap scheme performance?

To answer your query, it is difficult to predict the exact time of revival but by and large outperformance of Midcaps will depend on -

  • 1) Accelerating economic growth
  • 2) Increased flows and
  • 3) Cheap valuations

Currently, valuations are still not cheap, GDP growth remains sluggish and domestic flows have been steady but foreign flows which have turned negative.

Once all the three factors turn positive, you will start seeing Midcap schemes outperforming.
